Gregory Alan Cost, MD

Specialty:General Urology, Robotic Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery

Gregory Alan Cost, MD, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology. Dr. Cost was drawn to urology, in part, by the variety it offered. He says he always wanted to be a surgeon.

"Amongst the surgical specialties, urology offers a good mix of office work and surgery, as well as a good mix of major and minor procedures," he explains.

Dr. Cost received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987, graduating Cum Laude. He earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1991, graduating with honors. He competed his residency in urology at Stanford University School of Medicine in 1997.

Dr. Cost is interested in all areas of adult urology. He has specialized in minimally invasive techniques, including robotic surgery and laparoscopic surgery.

"Urology is a specialty where new technology and innovation have been important," he adds. "These factors not only keep the practice of medicine fresh, but also provide a gratifying patient benefit."

Dr. Cost says he is wholly focused on providing his patients with the best and most comprehensive care he knows how to give.

"I am committed to providing compassionate, high quality urologic care," he says.

In his free time, Dr. Cost enjoys running, cycling, sailing and spending time with his 3-year-old daughter.
